Fall Swim Team: Meet Coach Erika
I’ve spent most of my life in the water. Growing up, I swam competitively for Bellevue Club Swim Team. I got my start at my neighborhood summer league team where I swam and later coached. I went on to swim for NYU where I was a six-time NCAA All-American.
Later in life, I discovered marathon swimming and participated in an English Channel relay, swam around Manhattan, and was the second person to swim from Bremerton to Alki Lighthouse. You can currently find me swimming with the TLTC Masters group.
Through a lifetime of swimming, my earlier years on my summer league team gave me some of my fondest memories. It taught me that swimming can be hard work but also give me a lot of joy. I’m excited to share my passion for swimming and stroke technique while keeping it fun.
