Class ages are a recommendation. We do allow different ages in each class level if we determine another class is a better fit for the swimmer's skill level.

Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons are provided for all levels and ages, from basic strokes to competitive skills. All of our instructors are Red Cross certified and have many years of experience. Class sizes are intentionally kept small in order to guarantee each child gets the level of instruction and attention that they need.

Our swim levels are designed around a progression in skills that allow students to refine basic skills as they progress. The instructors are trained to add to skills only when the basics have become consistent, thus avoiding reinforcement of bad habits. The lev-els offered are based on completion and consistency of skills. Starting with water orientation and mov-ing into basic locomotion and buoyancy as well as personal safety. From there they begin to build their skills in a logical progression. Once the basic skills are achieved, swimmers work on building endurance and can work their way into competition if desired.

  Sharks  |  6-8 years old  |  10:15am-10:45am

Swimmers will begin to build endurance and swim the length of the pool with all four basic strokes. They will learn starts, turns and work on stroke technique in preparation for swim team. Can swim in meets.

  Sting Rays  |  5-6 years old  |  10:45am-11:15am

Students should be able to swim the length of the pool without stopping. They will be introduced and become more proficient in the four basis strokes: crawl stroke, back stroke, breast stroke and butterfly.

  Dolphins  |  4-6 years old  |  11:15am-11:45pm

The goal is to learn to swim across the pool using back and front crawl. We will work on getting children comfortable and confident with swimming short distances on their own as well as swimming underwater, holding their breath and paddling.

  Guppies   |  2-4 years old  |  11:45pm-12:15pm

The main focus of this class is water orientation. They will begin to learn basic skills such as back and prone floats, bobs and blowing bubbles. This class is one on one.
